POKOTABI / Sushi Kinsen
板前にぎり 金扇
Enjoy sushi served one piece at a time, from cured mackerel paired with vinegared ginger to rolls praised for their seaweed flavour. Here’s how diners describe enjoying Sushi Kinsen.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
At the counter, sushi arrives one piece at a time, leaving room to enjoy choosing what to try next. One diner recalled that the aroma and flavours came together particularly well in the cured mackerel sushi, paired with a vinegared ginger dipping sauce.
The menu includes fish sushi such as mackerel, horse mackerel, bonito, tuna and conger eel. One visitor also described ordering piece by piece, a style that suits diners who want to choose each topping as they go.
The rolls are worth a look, too. One diner found the seaweed’s flavour especially good and said the rolls made a lasting impression. The menu lists tuna, plum and shiso, and cucumber rolls; another visitor particularly enjoyed the natto roll, which offers an alternative to fish sushi.
Some diners have had beer with their sushi, while others chose tea. Beer is available, and you can add a drink as you select sushi piece by piece. The restaurant has counter seating and is described as suitable for solo dining. Payment is cash only, so be sure to bring cash.
